BunkBuddy collects minimal data. Most of your information — attendance records, CGPA calculations, assignments, and exam dates — is stored locally in your browser using localStorage. We do not have access to this data.

We may collect anonymous usage statistics (e.g., feature popularity) to improve the app. This data is aggregated and cannot identify you personally.

If you contact us via email, we retain your email address and message content solely to respond to your inquiry.

Local-first architecture. Your academic data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to sync or export it. This means:

• No central database of your grades or attendance
• No risk of server breaches exposing your records
• Full offline functionality

All network communications use HTTPS encryption. We regularly review our security practices.

BunkBuddy uses essential cookies only — those necessary for the app to function (e.g., remembering your preferences). We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies that follow you across the web.

If we integrate advertising (such as Google AdSense) in the future, those providers may use cookies in accordance with their own policies. You will be notified before any such change.

We may use trusted third-party services for hosting and CDN delivery. These providers only process data necessary to serve the app and do not have access to your localStorage contents.

Current third-party services: Vercel (hosting), Google Fonts (typography).

Since your data is stored locally, you are always in control. You can clear all BunkBuddy data at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage for this site or using the in-app reset option.

Email correspondence is retained for up to 12 months for support purposes, then permanently deleted.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access any personal data we hold about you
• Request correction or deletion of your data
• Object to processing of your data
• Data portability
